Jewish Financial Support

Many families face difficult financial times, have unexpected large expenses or find sending kids to summer camp unaffordable. CJFS provides financial support to Birmingham Jewish community members in need through an array of programs listed below. If you are a Jewish community member experiencing unemployment, facing medical issues, living on a fixed income or other circumstance that has resulted in financial need, we want to help find solutions. Camp & Israel Trip Scholarships*

Need-based scholarships for children, teens and young adults attending Jewish overnight camps and organized Israel trips.

Hebrew Free Loans*

Interest-Free, Need-based loans are available to Jewish community members for a variety of needs such as college expenses (full-time students only), medical expenses, home or car repairs. Click on the application links below for more details and the process to apply.

Assistance with housing, utilities, food, transportation, and healthcare costs for Jewish families in need.
